Blyyss delivers from independent Halifax area grocers to anywhere in Nova Scotia. Orders are shopped by hand at the store and driven on scheduled runs, so your groceries cost what the shelf says, never more.
Where we deliver
Anywhere in Nova Scotia. Enter your postal code at checkout (Nova Scotia postal codes start with B) and the address is accepted. Runs are driven from the stores in the Halifax area, so every address rides the same scheduled runs.
When each store delivers
Gateway Meat Market
- Delivery on Sundays in one planned run between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Your delivery time is texted to you once the route is planned.
- Order any time through Saturday for the Sunday run.
- $15.99 flat delivery fee, the same price anywhere Blyyss delivers in Nova Scotia.
- Up to 20 items per order.
Shahi Groceries
- Delivery Thursday to Sunday in evening runs between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
- Order by 2:00 PM on a delivery day for evening delivery, or book ahead for any delivery day that week.
- The delivery fee is based on distance from the store and is quoted at checkout before you pay.
What it costs
- The fee scales with the distance from the store to your door. The distance part is capped at $24, and the exact fee is quoted at checkout before you pay.
- A store with a flat delivery fee charges that number for the trip, whatever the distance and whatever is in your basket.
- Card processing is its own line, charged at cost with nothing added on top. Stripe's rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents, worked out on the groceries, the delivery fee and this line itself.
- Any tip is charged exactly as entered, with no processing markup.
How paying works
- You see the most you can be charged before you pay. Your card is authorized for that maximum when you book and charged for what is actually shopped.
- A weighed item quotes a ceiling; the final charge follows the packed weight.
- A Blyyss order is one trip to one store, which is what keeps a hand-driven delivery affordable.
Blyyss is a young service, so delivery days, fees, spots and the store lineup can change from week to week. What you see at checkout when you book is what applies to your order.
